How do you create Microsoft Groups for CyberNut?

In general you should at least have one group named CyberNut that is used only for Technical Administrators and Team Captains.  This group is used for the Single Sign On feature to CyberNut.

Most users will conduct all activities using Gmail or Outlook and will not log in to CyberNut directly.

Phishing simulation campaigns can be scheduled using general emails that apply to any department or specifically to the following departments: Teachers, Administrators, Finance, HR, IT and Student Services.

In order to assign a campaign with specific department email templates, you should create Microsoft Groups that can be selected when creating the phishing campaign.

Follow these directions to create a Microsoft Group.

  1. Login to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center at https://admin.cloud.microsoft/
  2. Select Team & groups and then Active teams & groups.

  3. Select Add a Microsoft 365 group.

  4. Name the group and click Next. (ex. CyberNut_Teachers, etc)

  5. Click Assign owners and add owners of the group and click Next. .

  6. Click Add members and add members to the group and click Next.

  7. Type an email address and select the appropriate options as needed. Then click Next and Create Group.

  8. Repeat for the rest of your groups.

Caution: It's recommended to carefully name your groups to not confuse them with other groups you may have. Here are some suggested names.

CyberNut_Admin, CyberNut_Fin, CyberNut_HR, CyberNut_IT, CyberNutSTSVC and CyberNut_Teach.

Alternative names might include CyberNut_Teach_"Name of School" or CN_Teach_"Name of School"
