Acorns Feature

In this article you will learn how acorns are used in CyberNut.

The CyberNut platform now allows users to earn acorns as they report suspicious emails during campaigns as well as when reporting real phishing emails.

A CyberNut administrator will now see two columns displaying the amount of acorns earned.  One column is labeled Training Acorns and the other is labeled Threat Acorns.

  • When a user reports an email that is quarantined or deleted from the Reported Threats screen, the reporting person is rewarded 3 acorns which are separate from acorns earned by participating in Campaigns.
  • Those acorns are displayed on Leaderboard Screen under User Selection.
  • Rankings are based on total acorns Real Threat acorns + Campaign acorns.
  • If there is a tie and more than one user has the same rank they will be sorted on the full name. (i.e. FirstName + LastName)
  • The leaderboard screens where users were shown with Campaign Earned points now has an additional column labeled Real Threat acorns where the sum of the user's earned acorns by reporting the real threats will be shown
  • Ranking for teams will be based on total acorns normalized -> ( Sum of all users campaign acorns + sum of all users real threat acorns ) / total number of users)
