# Creating a Baseline Campaign

## This guide will show you how to create a Baseline Campaign in the CyberNut Admin Portal.

This walkthrough demonstrates how to create and monitor a phishing simulation campaign in Cybernut. Users learn to configure campaign details including name, target audience, schedule, and timezone, then select specific user groups before scheduling the campaign. Once live, the interface provides real-time tracking of email delivery, click rates, user engagement patterns, and individual performance metrics to help identify staff who may need additional security training.

**1.** Log in to the CyberNut Admin Portal at [http://admin.cybernut.com.](http://admin.cybernut.com/)

**2.** Click "+ Create campaign" to kick off a new phishing simulation.

**3.** Choose the phishing simulation option — this is how Cybernut builds staff awareness of real-world threats.

**4.** Click here to continue — you're one step closer to a fully configured campaign.

**5.** Looking good so far? Hit "Next" to fill in the campaign details.

**6.** Click the "Campaign name" field and enter a name that's easy to identify later — clarity saves time.

**7.** Select "Staff or Student" to define exactly who this simulation is targeting.

**8.** Click the "Start" field and set the date your campaign goes live.

**9.** Pick your start date — the end date will fill in automatically, so no extra steps needed.

**10.** Click the "Timezone" field and match it to where your team is based — timing matters.

**11.** Dates are locked in — click "Next" to move on and select your target users.

**12.** Use the "Search" field to quickly locate the user group you want to include.

**13.** Select the right group from the list — they'll be added to the campaign automatically.

**14.** Check or uncheck individual users to fine-tune exactly who's in scope for this simulation.

**15.** All set? Click "Next" to head to the final confirmation before scheduling.

**16.** Click "Schedule campaign" to confirm everything — your phishing simulation is now officially on the calendar.

**17.** Head over to "Campaigns" to see your new campaign listed alongside the others.

**18.** Click "Scheduled" to filter the view and find campaigns that are queued and ready to run.

**19.** Click on "Fall 2026 Baseline Campaign" to open it and review the full campaign details.

**20.** Select this tile to see exactly which users have been assigned to this campaign.

**21.** This tile tracks how many simulation emails have been sent out so far.

**22.** Here you can see how many users clicked a link within the simulation emails.

**23.** This shows how many distinct emails users clicked on — useful for spotting patterns.

**24.** This is the total click count across all emails — a quick read on overall engagement.

**25.** Toggle to "%" view to see results as percentages — much easier to compare across teams or departments.

**26.** As the simulation runs, you'll see which email categories are getting the most clicks.

**27.** Here's your leaderboard — the users who clicked the most, ranked for easy follow-up.

**28.** Switch to the "Activity" tab to see a real-time timeline of how users are interacting with the simulation.

**29.** Click "Users" to drill into individual data — who clicked, who reported, and who may need extra attention.

**30.** Here you can monitor how many simulation emails each user has received to date.

**31.** Track how many times each user clicked — a quick way to spot repeat offenders.
